MySQL 3, 4, and 5 are supported target servers on any supported operating system. MySQL is known to run on Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, Solaris, and other operating systems.
The output may or may not be compatible with other servers, including PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle. However, these servers have not been tested.
